What is Tumul?

TUMUL IS A NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION (NGO) THAT WORKS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF PEOPLE IN RURAL/ URBAN INDIA. THE NAME TUMUL IS DERIVED FROM THE HINDI WORD FOR THE PLANT BAHEDA, WHICH IS KNOWN FOR ITS MEDICINAL PROPERTIES.

TO PROMOTE SOCIAL JUSTICE THROUGH THE PROVISION AND DISTRIBUTION OF HOLISTIC HEALTH CARE FOR HIV, AIDS, AND TB-RELATED I SSUES, AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT VIA AWARENESS PROGRAMS AND GIVING THE WOMEN OF TODAY THE OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD AN INDEPENDENT LIFE

WE ENVISION A WORLD WHERE ALL PEOPLE, REGARDLESS OF GENDER, HAVE ACCESS TO QUALITY HEALTH CARE AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE INDEPENDENT AND FULFILLING LIVES

BROAD OBJECTIVE

TO PROMOTE AND STRENGTHEN THE MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS FOR THEIR OPTIMUM PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY HEALTH (HIV-AIDS, TB, ). TO PROMOTE AND MAINTAIN LIAISON AND ENCOURAGE GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIP AMONG MEMBER NGOS AND ALL RELEVANT AND RELATED CIVIL, GOVERNMENT, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL AGENCIES. TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND WORKING OF THE ASSOCIATION BY ACCEPTING CONTRIBUTIONS.

OUR PROGRAMS

SFURTI (Ministry of Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises)

Tumul is running a project for women's empowerment under the SFURTI (Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries) scheme. The name of the cluster is “Stitching and surface ornamentation women’s Cluster”. The main aim of the project is to provide skill training and employment to women so that they can become independent, Confident, and support themselves. The CFC is built in Bairagarh Chichli covering an area of 6500 sq. feet where all high-end technology machines are installed and women artisans are given advanced training and employment. The vision of the Stitching Center cluster in the upcoming 5 years is to provide skill training and employment to maximum masses

Brand created - Aspirations

Aspiration is a clothing brand created under the SFRUTI scheme. Aspiration's brand voice is confident, positive, and inspiring. The brand wants to empower people to make a positive impact on the world through their fashion choices. Aspiration's products are made with high-quality materials and are designed to be both stylish and comfortable. The company's mission is to provide its customers with affordable, high-quality clothing that helps them to look and feel their best.

VIHAAN Project : (Gujrat Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS)

Tumul is running VIHAAN Project in the district of Sagar Madhya Pradesh. The goal of the project is Navigate People Living with HIV/AIDS, who not linked or dropped Health Services. Over 1200 plus registered PLHIV in the project. 09 Staff working in the project and covered Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh District of Madhya Pradesh

Target Intervention Projects : (MP State AIDS Control Society, Bhopal)

Tumul is running Target Intervention Projects in the district of Sagar, Dewas and Damoh Madhya Pradesh. The aim of project to prevent awareness about HIV/AIDS in High Risk Group (Female Sex Workers (FSW’s), Men Having Sex with Men (MSM’s) & Migrant Population. 51 Employee working in these projects

Tumul Society Team member Selected For Master Trainer Organized By Mpsacs

Tumul Society Awarded By Bundelkhand Medical Collage On World Tb Day

Under the Girl Icon program, Tumul Society, Dewas, in collaboration with Malan Foundation, distributed mobile phones to 74 adolescent girls.

On Environment Day, a kite competition was organized for HIV-positive children, and prizes were distributed.

The District Judge of Damoh and the Women and Child Development Department provided detailed information to HRG women about connecting with social security schemes.

During COVID, dry ration was distributed to HRG women by visiting their homes.

Awareness & Support

We conducted awareness programs for HRG women to educate them about social security schemes and their rights. Guidance was provided to help them connect with government support and improve their quality of life.

Community Activities

On Environment Day, we organized a kite competition for HIV-positive children. The event brought joy and encouragement, and prizes were distributed to boost their confidence and participation.

COVID-19 Relief Work

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our team visited the homes of HRG women and distributed dry ration. This initiative ensured that families received essential support during difficult times.
